We all know that that dream is just that… a dream.

Most people don’t want to put the work in but nevertheless, whatever their heart desires is still available for their taking.
I really wanted to be able to play guitar professionally.
It didn’t happen overnight but I stuck with it and persisted.
Eventually I was being paid to play.
Persistence was the key.
I put the time in and practiced with diligence. Not wasted time but with focus.
So, if you want to get whatever you want you have to be persistent.
Hard work is a “given” to getting what your heart desires.
But, the real secret to success is the follow-up.
My father wouldn’t have been able to get anything without persistent follow-ups.
If he needed something he contacted the appropriate person, would give it some time and then follow-up.
Eventually, he was a familiar face (or they tired of putting him off) and they would help him get whatever he wanted.
I have seen this work with booking gigs hundreds of times.
Sometimes the clubs just need a friendly reminder of who you are and what you have to offer.
The bottom line is that if you want something you need to be persistent and follow up.
Never quit!
