Instagram music marketing is another simple but super important piece of your journey to your first 1,000 fans and beyond.

The first thing you have to consider is if your audience is even on Instagram. Only you can answer that.

Is that where you hang out? Is that where people that like your style and music hangout?

Chances are, it is.

I think it’d be very rare for any musical audience to not be on Instagram.

So, what can you do to maximize your fan reach on Instagram and grow your fanbase?

What is the magic formula?

It’s funny that everyone believes there must be a secret to success in music and marketing your music on Instagram.

The truth is:

Success is the result of being persistent and never quitting!

Most artists, try and quit before they hit their tipping point for fans.

If you’re committed to keep pushing forward and not quitting then stick with me.

How to Market Your Music On Instagram

1. Post twice a day

Yes, you need to be posting content twice a day. Remember, it doesn’t have to be ALL about you. Share other cool stuff too. What do you like to see on Instagram? Your followers will most likely like it too!

2. Don’t just Spam

Think about what you are publishing to Instagram. Does it scream “look at me, look at me, look at me!!!”? If so stop. Share content that your followers will feel connected to you with. Do you like it when you get together with a friend and all you can do is listen because all they do is talk about themselves? Of course not. Don’t do it to your followers either.

3. Never quit!

Of course I’ll tell you to never quit because that is the number one reason why artists never find success. Their music is great. Their image is great. They are talented. But, when they quit, they fail.
